AI SEO
AI SEO that follows the documentation, not the folklore.
AI SEO is the work of making a brand visible in AI-generated answers as well as in the ranked list of links. It covers Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot. It is also called AI search optimization, and it is the same discipline under both names.

What is AI SEO?
AI SEO, also called AI search optimization, is the practice of making a brand one of the sources AI engines name when someone asks them what to buy or who to trust. It is not a separate discipline bolted onto search. Google states the position directly in its own optimization guide, last updated 10 July 2026: “our generative AI features on Google Search are rooted in our core Search ranking and quality systems.” So the work is ordinary search work done to a higher standard, plus three things classic SEO never had to care about. The page has to be reachable by the AI crawlers and eligible to show with a snippet. The brand has to resolve as one clear entity so an engine can describe it without reaching for a competitor. And the page has to carry a passage worth quoting, meaning something an engine cannot paraphrase from anyone else. Progress is measured by how often the engines name you, not by keyword position.
Sound familiar?
“Buyers ask an AI engine who to trust in your category, and it names a competitor.”
“You rank on Google, and the AI answer sitting above your result never mentions you.”
“You have a quote for AI SEO in front of you and no way to tell real work from a rebadged SEO retainer.”
“Someone sold you an llms.txt file and a chunking rewrite, and nothing moved.”
Who it is for
Brands strong on Google, absent from AI
You already rank. The answer above the results names someone else, and the click never happens.
Considered-purchase categories
Your buyers research before they buy, and that research now starts by asking an engine rather than reading ten links.
First-time AI SEO buyers
You are comparing quotes and every one of them says the same four things. You need to know which parts are documented and which are folklore.
Thai and English audiences
An engine answering in Thai leans on Thai-language sources. Being the cited answer in one language does not make you the answer in the other.
What the engagement actually ships.
- AI surface audit, four engines
- Where your category's buying questions get answered today across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, and which source gets named instead of you.
- Your real buyer questions asked in the buyer's own words and recorded
- The competitor set the engines actually name, in the order they appear
- Every factual error the engines currently state about your brand
- Access and eligibility
- The half of AI SEO that is pure technical work, and the half most audits skip.
- GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot confirmed able to reach the pages that matter
- The answer present in the HTML rather than behind JavaScript
- Indexed and snippet-eligible, which Google names as the precondition for appearing in its generative AI features at all
- Entity and answer-unit work
- One clear entity, and passages that survive being lifted out of the page.
- The top of each money page rewritten to answer its question in a passage that still makes sense quoted alone
- Consistent brand facts across the sites an engine checks
- Structured data where it earns its place, which is rich-result eligibility and third-party engines, not because Google requires it for AI
- Substance, in English and Thai
- The part nobody can copy from you: what only you can measure, test, stock or witness, published with its method so it is checkable.
- Monthly measurement
- The same questions, the same wording, the same week each month, so the trend line is real. Reported as engines naming you, never as a vendor visibility score.
How it fits
Every figure traces to a live engagement.
Outcome: Your brand becomes one of the sources AI engines name, not one of ten links they skip.
How we run it
The work, step by step.
Audit
Four engines, your real questions, written up in 24 hours. Free, no payment and no sales call.
Fix access first
If the crawlers cannot reach the page, nothing else pays. This is the lowest gate and it is broken more often than owners expect.
Make the brand describable
One entity, one canonical page per thing you sell, consistent facts.
Publish something worth quoting
The slow part, and the only part that compounds.
Measure monthly and defend
Citations get taken as well as won.
AI SEO, and what Google actually documents about it
| Sold as | What Google's documentation says |
|---|---|
| An llms.txt file makes you visible to AI | “Google Search itself doesn't use them.” Maintaining one “will neither harm nor help your site's visibility or rankings in Google Search” |
| Content must be chunked for AI | “There's no requirement to break your content into tiny pieces... There's no ideal page length” |
| Content must be rewritten in an AI-friendly voice | “You don't need to write in a specific way just for generative AI search” |
| Schema markup is required for AI answers | “Structured data isn't required for generative AI search, and there's no special schema.org markup you need to add” |
| Buy brand mentions to get cited | Seeking inauthentic “mentions” across the web “isn't as helpful as it might seem” |
| A page per question captures more AI answers | Creating separate content for every variation, done to manipulate rankings, “violates Google's scaled content abuse spam policy” |
Pricing and engagement
AI SEO runs as a monthly program with a six-month minimum, because citations compound and a shorter window cannot show the curve. New clients and SMEs can start with one 90-day pilot instead.
- Six-month minimum on the monthly program
- 90-day pilot available for a first cycle
- One team, one invoice: AI SEO is never billed on top of SEO
- Your exact scope and price come in the free audit reply
Runs on the Compound Cycle.
How the method worksThe audit first, free and in writing. Then scope agreed before any money moves, a 90-day pilot where it fits, and a monthly loop of research, entity, content, citations, tracking, and review. Every month builds on the last.
Asked about this service.
What is an AI SEO agency?
An AI SEO agency makes a brand one of the sources AI engines name when a buyer asks them a question, rather than one of ten links on a page. In practice that means three jobs: confirming the AI crawlers can reach and render your pages, making your brand resolve as one clear entity a machine can describe, and publishing passages worth quoting. The work overlaps almost entirely with good SEO, because Google says its AI features are rooted in its core Search ranking and quality systems. An agency that tells you AI SEO is a separate discipline requiring separate files is selling you something Google's own documentation says to ignore.
How much does AI SEO cost?
We do not publish a rate card, because scope varies more than published industry ranges suggest and a number without a scope is not a price. What we do publish: the audit is free, the first cycle can be a 90-day pilot, the monthly program has a six-month minimum, and your exact figure comes in writing in the audit reply before you commit to anything.
How do I choose an AI SEO agency?
Ask three questions and the field thins quickly. First, ask which of their tactics are confirmed in the search engines' own documentation and which are inference, and watch whether they can tell the difference. Second, ask what they will not sell you and why, because an agency that recommends everything has not assessed anything. Third, ask how they will measure it, and treat any single vendor visibility score as that vendor's own composite rather than a number Google, OpenAI or Perplexity would recognise. We publish our own answers to all three in the Shortlist Method, including the whole library of approaches we would consider and what the engines actually document about each.
Is AI SEO different from SEO?
Mostly no, and the honest answer costs us a line item. Google states that its generative AI features run on its core Search ranking and quality systems, so the technical and content foundations are the same work. Three things are genuinely different: the AI crawlers are separate user agents that can be blocked independently, the unit that gets used is the passage rather than the page, and success is measured as how often engines name you rather than where you sit in a list. Anyone selling AI SEO as a wholly separate discipline with its own file formats is billing you twice for one job.
Can AI tools do SEO on their own?
They can do parts of it, and they cannot do the part that matters. Tools sample AI answers on a schedule and turn them into a trend line, which is genuinely useful measurement. What no tool can tell you is why, because no engine publishes the retrieval scores behind an answer. The work that moves the number is deciding what your brand alone can measure, test or witness, and publishing it in a form an engine can quote.
Do you work in Thai as well as English?
Yes, and natively in both rather than translated after the fact. It matters more in AI search than in classic search: an engine answering a Thai-language question leans on Thai-language sources, so being the cited answer in English does not make you the answer in Thai. Bangkok is home base, with live engagements across Thailand, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Singapore.
